Grand romance in a science fiction epic about a climate scientist on a deep-sea mission who rediscovers a love so powerful it seems to shake the continental plates.

Ulaa Salim (Sons of Denmark, GFF 2019) tells the story of the young academic Elias (Simon Sears) who falls head over heels for the singer Anita (Nanna Øland Fabricius). But after a passionate affair, he chooses his career over love. At the bottom of the Atlantic, a mysterious fissure has appeared. It accelerates climate change and threatens humanity. Elias is chosen to carry out the perilous deep-sea operation, but as he and his companion (Magnus Krepper) approach the crack, they encounter something in the depths that mirrors the depth within themselves. The expedition's dangers intersect with profound reunions in a psychologically deep-diving science fiction saga where Elias must confront what it is he's truly been afraid of.
