Synth music, love, and troubled family relationships in a convincing coming-of-age drama set in the rural areas of Skåne.

The year is 1986, and Fredrik lives in a small village in Österlen with his alcoholic mother. If it weren't for his passion for synth music and his love for Nina, a girl with aspirations in photography, life would be unbearable. In a few days, the eagerly awaited first performance with his own synth band is due, but as his relationship with Nina starts to falter and his family ties worsen, the upcoming show is loaded with even higher expectations. Patrik Blomberg Book's feature film debut about youthful liberation and ambition throws us back to the 1980s, sharply and richly capturing its spirit and the blooming synth culture.
