Toronto winner depicts the true tale of two young lovers is the most unforgettable of love stories.

Set in the 90s, wealthy Jassi (Pavia Sidhu) visits relatives in northern India. Soon, she falls head over heels for the handsome and poor rickshaw driver Mithu (Yugam Sood) who lives on the same street. But Jassi must return home to Canada with her mother. They begin exchanging letters. Despite Jassi's relatives' anger and several obstacles, their genuine and innocent romance persists. It's easy to forget the devastating consequences that could be lurking around the corner. Indian director Tarsem Singh has made several blockbusters in Hollywood. His first film in India unfolds like a modern and vibrant Romeo and Juliet tale. The adrenaline rises, and the heart pounds.
