A near-death experience leads a solitary middle-aged woman to her first sexual encounter in a liberating gem of a film from Georgia.

48-year-old shop owner Etero has never had a man in her life. Despite the gossipy influence of her friends, she is content with her independent existence and finds pleasure in sweet pastries and picking blackberries in the surrounding hillsides. During one of her expeditions, an unusually beautiful blackbird makes her lose her footing, and for a moment, it looks like she might fall to her death as a lonely woman. But shaken after facing death head-on, Etero suddenly looks at life with newfound passion. Elene Naveriani's colorful portrayal of women in a small Georgian community is filled with humorous observations and liberating twists. Eka Chavleishvili shines in the lead role as the liberated Etero and was honored with a European Film Award (EFA) nomination for her performance.
